How we handle the information you share with us.
Who we are
This website is operated by The Purrington, a cattery based in Brantham, Suffolk. You can contact us at enquiries@thepurrington.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, and any phone number, message, or details about your cat(s) and dates you provide. We do not require any information beyond what the form asks for.
How we use it
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry — for example, to discuss a visit or a booking. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you separately ask us to keep you updated.
Spam protection
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that submissions come from a real person rather than automated software. Turnstile may process limited technical information (such as your browser and IP address) as part of that check. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy for details of how they handle this.
Google Maps
The home page includes an embedded Google Map showing Brantham. When your browser loads the map, it connects directly to Google, which receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device (such as its type and language), and may set or read cookies. We don't receive this information and have no control over how Google uses it. The map is provided by Google, so Google's own terms and privacy policy apply — see Google's privacy policy. If you'd rather not load the map, you can block it in your browser; the rest of the site works without it, and you can contact us at enquiries@thepurrington.co.uk.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular, so we can improve the site. It is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies or similar storage on your device, and does not track you across other websites. It measures things such as the pages visited, where visitors came from, the type of browser, device and operating system, the approximate country, and how quickly pages load. Your IP address is processed to provide the service. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. Browser tracking-protection tools and ad blockers may stop the analytics from loading, and the site works normally without it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, where relevant, to arrange or manage a booking. We remove information we no longer need.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to withdraw consent to being contacted at any time. To do so, email enquiries@thepurrington.co.uk.
